- In your library's digital collection, select. to go to your Loans page.
- Select the Renew button under the title you'd like to renew. - Choose an option for the length of the renewal (if available).
- After you renew the title, you'll see the new due date and options to open or download it.
The book will download and open automatically. If there is a waiting list, tap Hold. To open the book: 1) If you selected Automatically Generate ID for cloudLibrary on the activation screen, click the green Transfer to Device button that appears under the cover of the book that you want to read.
If you forget about the hold during its 3-day pickup window, it will be scheduled for later delivery automatically. Note: Automatic rescheduling can happen once per hold. If you don't act on a hold a second time, it will be canceled.
If all the copies of a digital book are checked out, you can place a hold on it instead. This will put you on a wait list for the title. Once the title becomes available, you'll get a notification.

Circulating books are the most common -- these books may leave the library and be checked out for up to three (3) weeks. They may also be renewed twice for three (3) weeks each, as long as no one else is waiting for the book. This means that, in total, a book could be checked out for up to nine (9) weeks.20 mar 2018
How long is the lending period for an eBook or eAudiobook? The lending period is 21 days for an eBook or eAudiobook. You can adjust the checkout time to 7 or 14 days if you don't need the full 21 days.8 may 2021

Magazines can only be renewed once. All other library materials can be renewed up to five times in a row. If the item you're renewing has been requested by someone else, you'll get a notification in the catalogue that you won't be able to renew it.
The cloudLibrary app does not have a renewal function. If a book is on hold it will automatically transfer to the next person in the queue. If the book is not on hold you can go through the checkout process again by simply going to history and click on the title you would like to borrow if available, or put on hold.
You can borrow eBooks and eAudiobooks from Overdrive or Libby for 7 days, 14 days, or 21 days. It's your choice! You can also set a default lending period for all items in a given format.
